Tnpsc (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has released the new updates for the TNPSC Group 2 & TNPSC Group 2A exam which is to be held in forthcoming days .
Tnpsc has Combined the TNPSC Group 2 & TNPSC Group 2A Syllabus .
Before , TNPSC Group 2 & TNPSC Group 2A exam had General English or General Tamil in Prelims Exam with General Studies and Aptitude as Common Subject but, now they have excluded the language portion in both group exams .
The exam pattern of Prelims exam will be of Objective type
Subjects included are -
1) General Studies ( Degree Standard) - 175 marks
2) Aptitude and mental Ability (SSLC Std) - 25 marks
Total marks - 200 marks
Time Limit - 3 hours
After Clearing Prelims Exam , Mains Exam will be conducted for both Group exams and it is of Descriptive Type.
Tnpsc has combined the Syllabus of both Tnpsc Group 2 & TNPSC Group 2A . So mains exam pattern will be common for both group exam .
Scheme for Main Written Exam
1) Part A -100 marks - Minimum Qualifying marks - 25 marks
2) Part B - 200 marks - No Minimum Qualifying Marks
Total - 300 marks
Time Limit - 3 hours
For Selection - Total Marks obtained in Part A and Part B together will be considered for selection.
For Non-Interview Posts:
Main Written Examination: 300 Marks
Total Marks: 300
Minimum Qualifying Marks
for all Communities: 90
For Interview Posts:
Main Written Examination: 300 Marks
Oral Test: 40 Marks
Total Marks: 300+40 = 340 Marks
Minimum Qualifying Marks
for all Communities: 102 out of 340
